چکیده

Heart-rate variability (HRV), measured by the fluctuation of beat-to-beat intervals, has been growingly considered most important hallmark heart rate (HR) time series. The HRV can be characterized various statistical measures both in and frequency domains, or nonlinear methods. During past decades, an overwhelming amount data piled up research community, but individual results are difficult to reconcile due different measuring conditions usually HR-dependent HRV-parameters applied. Moreover, precise HR-dependence parameters is not known. Using gathered a wearable sensor combined heart-rate actigraphy modalities, here, we introduce novel descriptor HRV, based on modified Poincaré plot 24-h RR-recordings. We show that there exists – regressive biexponential versus HR “master” curve (“M-curve”) highly conserved for healthy short medium terms (on hours months scale, respectively). At same time, reveal how this related age case people, establish alterations M-curves heart-attack patients. A stochastic neuron model accounting observed phenomena also elaborated, order facilitate physiological interpretation data. Our evaluation procedure applied series interbeat intervals allows description HRV(HR) function with unprecedented precision. To utilize full strength method, suggest 24-hour-long registration period under natural, daily-routine circumstances (i.e., no special required). By establishing patient’s M-curve, it possible monitor development his/her status over extended time. On these grounds, new method suggested used as competent tool future analyses clinical training applications, well everyday health promotion.

A Novel Fuzzy Based Method for Heart Rate Variability Prediction

Abstract In this paper, a novel technique based on fuzzy method is presented for chaotic nonlinear time series prediction. Fuzzy approach with the gradient learning algorithm and methods constitutes the main components of this method. This learning process in this method is similar to conventional gradient descent learning process, except that the input patterns and parameters are stored in mem...

Informative Nature and Nonlinearity of Lagged Poincaré Plots Indices in Analysis of Heart Rate Variability

Lagged Poincaré plots have been successful in characterizing abnormal cardiac function. However, the current research practices do not favour any specific lag of Poincaré plots, thus complicating the comparison of results of different researchers in their analysis of heart rate of healthy subjects and patients. We researched the informative nature of lagged Poincaré plots in different states of...

Heart rate variability--a shape analysis of Lorenz plots.

A new quantitative geometrical method to analyse heart rate variability is presented. The standard image analysis techniques were applied to the grey scale images of Lorenz plots, and the outlines of the attractor areas were determined via a contour following procedure based on a maze walking algorithm. For graphs of simple compact shape, the attractor region contours were described in terms of...

Correlated Poincaré indices for measuring heart rate variability.

Poincaré indices are usually applied to HRV to summarise long data sets collected over 24 hrs. Many applications of HRV are interested in dynamic, short term changes (<1 min). This study uses Poincaré indices published through the 1990's to the present, to determine which of them are correlated over the short term (25 beats). Dynamic changes were observed in 12 subjects pre-operatively receivin...

Analysis of Slope Based Heart Rate Asymmetry using Poincaré Plots

Heart rate asymmetry (HRA) is considered as a physiological phenomenon seen in heart rates of healthy subjects. In this article, we propose a novel heart rate asymmetry index and assess the discriminative power of proposed index in comparison with conventional heart rate asymmetry indices. As an illustrative example we discriminate patients suffering from congestive heart failure (CHF) from a h...
